The proposed stadium, to be built by Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association (ACA), will cost Rs 800 crore and have seating for more than 1.25 lakh spectators
February 3, 2025 - India is soon set to get another massive international-level cricket stadium. It is being touted as the world’s largest cricket stadium. The Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association (ACA) is going to build the largest stadium in Amaravati, which will cost Rs 800 crore and have seating for around 1.25 lakh spectators.
ACA president MP Kesineni Sivanath Chinni said that 60 acres of land has been sought from the State Government for this project. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be approached for financial assistance in building this stadium.
“This stadium will not only redefine cricket infrastructure in the country but also put Amaravati on the global sporting map,” Chinni said.
Currently, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad holds the title of the world's largest cricket stadium.
