IND vs PAK: Key All-Rounder’s Injury Update Raises Concerns Before High-Voltage Clash
Udaipur, Sept 20, 2025: In the last group match of Asia Cup 2025, India beat Oman by 21 runs and kept their winning streak. In this match, Indian all-rounder Axar Patel got hurt while trying to take a catch. His head hit the ground and he had to leave the field.
Axar ran from mid-off to catch Hammad Mirza on a ball from Shivam Dubey, but he could not reach it. After India’s win, fielding coach T. Dilip gave an update. He said Axar was feeling fine after the match.
Coach Gives Update
After the match, T. Dilip said, "I just saw Axar. He looks fine now. That is all I can say." In the game, Axar scored 26 runs in 13 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. His strike rate was 200.
India used 8 bowlers in the match. Axar bowled only 1 over and gave just 4 runs. He almost got Oman captain Jatinder Singh out LBW, but the decision was changed after DRS. India’s next match is against Pakistan on September 21, just after one day’s break. T. Dilip said the team is ready. "We treat every match the same. We know the schedule well and we are ready for every game," he said.
