Banasthali Royals won the Mewar Women T20 Cup

With some fine piece of batting performances and fielding glitches by both the teams, the T20 league ended today. At last Banasthali Royals continued their winning streak, bagging-in the league title. The final match of ‘Mewar Women T20 Cricket League’ was played between Queens XI Mewar and Banasthali Royals at Meera Girls Sports Complex. Dr. Ajatshetre, Ganshyam Joshi, and Ms. Nirmla were the main organizers of the event.

With some fine piece of batting performances and fielding glitches by both the teams, the T20 league ended today. At last Banasthali Royals continued their winning streak, bagging-in the league title.

The final match of ‘Mewar Women T20 Cricket League’ was played between Queens XI Mewar and Banasthali Royals at Meera Girls Sports Complex. Dr. Ajatshetre, Ganshyam Joshi, and Ms. Nirmla were the main organizers of the event.

Manoj Bhatnagar was the match Referee, Surendra Berwa, the Scorer and The Umpires were Rakesh Jain and Kailash Kewaliya.

The toss was won by Banasthali Royals and they elected to field. Chhavi Rajvanshi took 2 wickets. Santosh Sharma (Skipper) of Queens XI made 60 runs and remained not out in her inning. Sudha Jaat (14) and Santosh Sharma had a good knock with 55 run partnership, raising the total score of Queens XI to 127/6.

Chandani (14) performed good in the middle but lost her concentration and ended up giving a simple catch. In the powerplay overs, Banasthali Royals showed sub-standard fielding but did a comeback in slog overs, restricting the score to not go over 130s.

2nd inning Highlights:

Katyani Mishra (55) and Chhavi Rajvanshi (37) started the innings for Banasthali Royals and completely harnessed the powerplay overs. This pair remained till the 18th over of the inning contributing 121 runs for the first wicket. Katyayni Mishra finally got run-out because of a bad call.

Santosh Sharma took the only wicket of the second inning. After the 15th over it was pretty clear that Banasthali will be the winner but Santosh Sharma kept the veins alive in her last spell. Chhavi Rajvanshi played a sweep shot for a boundary to end the inning. They won on the second ball of the last over. With this win Banasthali Royals was the only unbeaten team in the league.

In the award Ceremony the main guests were Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Nikhil (Tata Docomo), Dev Kothari (MD, GBH American Hospital), Mahendra Sharma (Treasurer, RCA), B.S Shekhawat (Dainik Bhaskar), Kuldeep Mathur (Former Ranji Player). All the mementos and prizes were financed by Deepak Sharma (CPS).

Chhavi Rajvanshi was given the Women of the Series Award, Katyayni Mishra was Women of the Match, Neha Jain was the Best Fielder, Suman Patel was the Best Bowler, Harshita was the Best Batswoman, Babita from Ajmer Challengers was the only one to hit a ton in the series.
