Udaipur, Dec 05, 2025: After Mohammed Shami’s fast bowling, Abhimanyu Easwaran played a solid captain’s knock. Overall, the Bengal team completely defeated Services. With this win, Bengal moved one step closer to the knockout stage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They will reach the knockouts if they win the remaining two matches.

Two teams from each group will enter the knockout stage. To stay in the top two, Bengal must now win every match. This is the tough task in front of Abhimanyu Easwaran.

Services, who had won only one of their four matches, started very strongly on Thursday. They crossed 100 runs in just 9 overs. But Akash Deep and Shami changed the match. The two pacers took seven wickets together. Mukesh Kumar had a poor day, while Ritwik Chatterjee took two wickets. Pradeepta Pramanik also took one wicket.

Bengal Pacers Trigger Services Collapse

The Services innings collapsed once the Bengal pacers came back into the attack. They were all out for 165 runs in 18.2 overs. Mohit Ahlawat scored the highest with 38 runs. Shami took 4 wickets for just 13 runs, picking up two wickets in each spell.

Bengal Chase With Ease

Chasing a simple target of 166, Bengal had an early setback. Karan Lal, who scored a century in the last match, was out on the first ball of the second over.

However, the partnership between Abhimanyu Easwaran and opener Abishek Porel almost sealed the win. The Bengal captain scored 58, while Abhishek made 56. Later, Yuvraj Keshwani and Akash Deep finished the job with 36 and 14 runs.

Bengal moved to the top of Group C with this win. They now have 16 points from five matches. Their net run rate also improved because of the big victory. Overall, Bengal are in great form in the T20 league. Shami was the Man of the Match for his four-wicket haul.
