Paris Olympics: Indian Hockey team bring home the Bronze

The Indian Hockey team has brought home a proud Bronze for India at the Paris Olympics. They took care of the Spanish challenge 2-1 to wipe out the tears of the semi final loss against Germany two days ago.

Pushing behind the agony of the loss to Germany in a scintillating semi final, the team got together for a spirited Bronze medal match. After Spain began the goal ticker with a 1-0 lead, India fought back to seal the match against 8th ranked Spain 2-1. This is India's fourth Bronze at the Summer Olympics and the team will come back with pride, giving veteran goal keeper PR Sreejesh fitting farewell.

The first goal was scored by Marc Miralles, converting a penalty in the second quarter. India equalised in the last minute of the second quarter, with Harmanpreet converting a penalty corner. India then took the lead with another goal by Harmanpreet, converting a penalty corner.
