BSA Cricket Academy Inaugurated at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth

Udaipur, March 23, 2026 - A historic chapter blending sports and education was added on Monday (March 23) at the Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon located in Pratap Nagar campus of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, with the grand inauguration of the state-of-the-art BSA Cricket Academy.

The academy was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Chancellor Bhawar Lal Gurjar, Director of Vishwas Institute Shekhar Kumar, Yaduraj Singh Krishnavat and former Ranji player Chandrapal Singh.

Prof. Sarangdevot said that cricket was once considered a sport of kings, but today it has become the king of sports. He emphasised that the integration of sports with education helps in the holistic development of students’ personalities. He added that this day marks not just the inauguration of an academy, but the beginning of dreams taking flight for young athletes.

He further said that the academy will not only provide technical cricket training but also instill discipline, leadership, and teamwork. In the future, more sports academies will be established at the university.

Chancellor Bhawar Lal Gurjar described this initiative as a major step toward the revival of sports culture, adding that sports today is not just entertainment but also a powerful medium for career building and national pride.

Former Ranji player and Rajasthan Under-23 coach Chandrapal Singh shared that the academy will feature professional cricket pitches, modern training equipment, a fitness centre and regular tournaments to nurture world-class players.

The event was attended by Prof. Yuvraj Singh Rathore, Karan Singh, Yashwant Paliwal, along with a large number of academicians, dignitaries, sports enthusiasts and players.
