Udaipur, Oct 08, 2025: Rohit Sharma has received a special honour after his term as Indian Men's Cricket ODI captain ended before the upcoming Australia tour. The CEAT Cricket Rating Awards were announced on Tuesday, where Rohit was honoured.

This was Rohit’s first public appearance after losing the captaincy. He was given a special memento for his achievement. Rohit received this honour for leading India to the Champions Trophy title after 12 years. Under his captaincy, India won the title this year — their first Champions Trophy win since 2013.

Women Cricketers Also Recognised

In women’s cricket, Smriti Mandhana was awarded Best Female Batter of the Year, while Deepti Sharma received the Best Female Bowler of the Year award.

Sanju and Iyer Honoured

Many other players also received awards in different categories. Sanju Samson was named T20 International Cricketer of the Year, while Varun Chakravarthy also received the same title. Shreyas Iyer, the new vice-captain of the ODI team, was honoured with the CEAT Geostar Award.

New Zealand’s Kane Williamson won the ODI Batter of the Year award, and his teammate Matt Henry received the ODI Bowler of the Year award.

Angakrish Raghuvanshi received the Emerging Cricketer of the Year award. England’s Harry Brook was named Test Cricketer of the Year, while Sri Lanka’s Prabhath Jayasuriya was named Test Bowler of the Year. Harsh Dubey received the CEAT Domestic Cricketer of the Year award for his performances in domestic cricket.
