The series of events organized on Mahesh Navami by Nagar Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan, started off with a community cricket tournament in Maheshwari Seva Sadan at Dhanmandi on 7^th & 8^th June. In the ten-day sequential events several sports events along with bhajan sandhya and cultural events will be organized.

In the day-night cricket tournament today league matches along with quarterfinals were played wherein total 16 teams participated; each league match consisted of 8 overs, while semifinals and finals to be played tomorrow on 8^th June will consist of 10 overs match.

According to Rajendra Mundra, Cultural Secretary of Nagar Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan, in the series of events ahead, on 8^th June badminton tournament, on 9^th June Day-Night Volleyball tournament and miscellaneous sports events will be organized, which will be followed by bhajan sandhya on 15^th June and Cultural Night on 16^th June.

Rajendra Mundra further informed that on 18^th June Mahesh Navami would be celebrated in a day long program, which will start with a ‘Maha Shiv Abhishek’ in the morning and conclude with a Maha Arti in evening around 8 pm.
