On the first day of Inter Collegiate Tournaments of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Badminton and Table Tennis competitions were organized at New Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, University Campus.

In Table Tennis men’s team, CTAE defeated CDFST 3-0 in final and won the championship, Suresh Kumar, Chandan Mal and Mukesh kumar won their matches for the winning team. Earlier in Semi-final, CDFST defeated RCA 3-0.

In Table Tennis women’s team, CDFST defeated CTAE 3-1 in closely contested final to clinch the Women’s Championship trophy. Kanika, Sonali and Aditi won matches for the team. Earlier CDFST defeated College of Home Science in semi final match.

In Badminton men’s team, CDFST defeated COF 2-0 in quarterfinal match and to RCA in semi final match to reach in final. CTAE defeated COA Bhilwara 2-0 with a good performance by Ravi and Aditya to meet CDFST in final.

In women’s team, CTAE defeated COA Bhilwara 2-0 in quarterfinal, but in semi-final, CTAE lost to College of Home Science 2-1 in a tough match.

For College of Home Science Shreya Mehta and Komal Khatri gave outstanding performance in getting into finals for the team. In other semi finals, RCA defeated last year’s winner CDFST by 2-0 to play in final tomorrow.

In CDFST, two rounds of Chess competitions were played between 6 participating colleges.

At RCA Tennis court, the host defeated CDFST 2-0 where Abhitej Singh and Devika won their singles match easily.

In Basketball women’s tam, CTAE got the walkover in the absence of CDFST team. In men’s team, last year’s winner CTAE showed its supremacy defeating RCA team by 55-21 margin with all round performance by its players. Dr. S.R. Maloo, Dean, RCA met with the players before the match.
