Udaipur Cricket Academy and St Anthony Cricket Academy won their respective matches on Day 1 in the ongoing UNITY CUP 2019, which has been organised by the Udaipur Cricket Academy.

UNITY CUP is an initiative by the Udaipur Cricket Academy, which envisages and open cricketing battle between all clubs of Udaipur, irrespective of age limit.  The cricket clubs of Udaipur are free to field any combination of team in this tournament.  Four academies of Udaipur are participating in this tournament.  The tournament will be played across 4 days, under the Round Robin League Matches format with the top two teams playing the finals on 13 December.

In the first 25 over match today, Udaipur Cricket Academy beat Nikhil Doru Cricket Academy by 82 runs.  Batting first, Udaipur Cricket Academy scored 178 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Performances by Krishna Sharma (49 runs) and Sachin Chauhan (32 runs) ensured this score for Udaipur Cricket Academy. Kavky Jain of Nikhil Doru Academy took 2 wickets, with the rest being spread across the bowlers.

Nikhil Doru Academy, while chasing the score, could not face the wrath of the bowling attack of Udaipur Cricket Academy and was bowled out for 96 runs, with Firoz Khan scoring 26 runs and topping their batting scoreline.  Nkhil Sharma, who was also adjudged Man of the Match, took three wickets, while Arjun and Daksh Sharma took two wickets each.

In the other match of the day, St Anthony Academy outclassed KT Cricket Academy by 95 runs. Manoj Amravat's 47 and Sonu Singh's 37 helped take the winning teams score to 166 for the loss of 8 wickets. Girija Shanker of KT took three wickets while two scalps were taken by Piyush.

KT, chasing the score of 166, was bowled out for a mere 71 runs, thanks to the exemplary bowling spells of Mahendra (3 wickets), Vaibhav (2 wickets) and Alice Jaffer (2 wickets).  Manoj Amravat was adjudged Man of the Match for his 47 runs.

Tomorrow's morning session will witness Udaipur Cricket Academy challenging KT Cricket Academy and the afternoon session will see St Anthony's play against Nikhil Doru Academy.
