District Open Chess -Day 2: Mudit Babel takes sole lead

The district open chess tournament organised by Chess-in-Lakecity saw some interesting matches on day 2. At the end of six rounds, Mudit Babel held the sole lead with 6 points. It may be noted that Mudit Babel is a FIDE rated player and also the Rajasthan Under-17 champion. In an interesting encounter, top seeded Devendra Borana was toppled by Chayan Dureja in the fourth round. The leader board standings after six rounds are as follows: Mudit Babel (6), Suraj Sahu (5.5), Nilesh Kumawat , Manthan Chittora, Siddarth Seth, Vibhav Pamecha, Arpita Jain, Jyoti Mehra (5 points each), Ratnesh Dadich, Yogesh Hinger, Chayan Dureja, Anshul Bharadwaj, Swayam Bhargava(4 each).
