Carlos Alcaraz played Alexander Zverev in the first semi-final. Alcaraz won the first two sets and looked close to a straight-sets victory. However, Zverev made a strong comeback and won the third and fourth sets. In the final set, Zverev had the advantage early, but Alcaraz showed great fight and won the match after a long battle that lasted five hours and 27 minutes.
In the other semi-final, Jannik Sinner started well against Novak Djokovic and looked in control early. But the 38-year-old Djokovic showed his experience and pushed the match into a fifth set. He then defeated the defending champion to book his place in the final, as he continues his chase for a record 25th Grand Slam title.
