ED Seizes Assets Linked to Yuvraj and Uthappa in Betting App Case; Sonu Sood and Urvashi Rautela Also Under Scanner
There are serious allegations of fraud and misuse of public money through online betting platforms
National, Dec 20, 2025: Two former Team India cricketers, Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa, are facing serious trouble in the betting app case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized a large amount of property linked to both players.
Not only the two former cricketers, but several other well-known celebrities are also under action. The list includes Bollywood actors Urvashi Rautela, Sonu Sood, and Neha Sharma.
According to reports, the ED has seized properties worth a total of ₹7.93 crore. This includes ₹2.5 crore linked to Yuvraj Singh, ₹8.26 lakh linked to Robin Uthappa, ₹2.02 crore linked to Urvashi Rautela, ₹1 crore linked to Sonu Sood, and ₹1.26 crore linked to Neha Sharma.
There are serious allegations of fraud and misuse of public money through online betting platforms. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned several celebrities and former cricketers as part of its investigation.
Earlier, the ED had questioned many well-known names in connection with an illegal betting app called 1xBet. In that case, the assets of former Indian cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina were also seized. The ED attached Raina’s mutual fund investments worth around ₹6.64 crore and Dhawan’s immovable property worth about ₹4.5 crore.
ED Probe Into Illegal Betting Apps
The ED had been monitoring the activities of several betting apps even before the Centre banned online gaming and betting platforms. One of the major apps under investigation is 1xBet, which is accused of large-scale illegal operations.
According to reports, there are allegations of corruption worth nearly ₹1,000 crore linked to this app. So far, the ED has seized assets worth a total of ₹19.7 crore in connection with the case.
