FIH Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 Trophy Unveiled in Udaipur
Trophy welcomed with drums at Maharana Pratap Airport; Olympian Ashok Dhyanchand and Nivritti Kumari ji Mewar unveil trophy
Udaipur, November 14, 2025 – The unveiling ceremony of the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup 2025 trophy was held on Thursday, November 13, at Maharana Mewar Public School (MMPS) within the Udaipur City Palace complex. Nivritti Kumari ji Mewar, hockey legend Ashok Kumar Dhyanchand, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu General Secretary P Senthil Rajkumar and other distinguished guests unveiled the trophy.
The event was organised under the guidance of Hockey Rajasthan and in collaboration with Hockey Udaipur.
The programme began with a traditional Rajasthani welcome and patriotic tunes from the school brass band, Swagatam and Saare Jahan Se Achha. Cadets from 6 Raj Air Squadron NCC (MMPS) welcomed the guests with discipline and dignity.
School Head Boy Audad Ahmed, and Head Girl Aayushi Kavadia delivered welcome addresses. On this occasion, gratitude was expressed to Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar (Chairman and Managing Trustee, MMCF) for his visionary leadership and continued encouragement towards sports education.
Chief Guest Nivritti Kumari ji Mewar welcomed the FIH delegation on behalf of Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar and highlighted Mewar's deep interest and commitment towards sports, citing its 1,500-year-old glorious tradition.

Hockey legend Ashok Kumar Dhyanchand shared his inspiring experiences and gave a message of humility and dedication. Prof. DS Chundawat, Mahipal Singh Nimbara and other dignitaries also addressed the occasion and appreciated the historical association of Mewar and the spirit of unity in hockey.
At the end of the programme, the FIH delegation presented mementos. Satish Kumar Sharma, Honorary Director of MMPS, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all present and wished that India should win the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup 2025 trophy.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
Earlier, the trophy was traditionally welcomed at Maharana Pratap Airport with drums, national flags and enthusiastic cheers. Dr Kuldeep Jhala, chief coordinator of the trophy tour, shared that a large number of officials, players, and sports enthusiasts from Hockey Rajasthan and Hockey Udaipur participated in the welcome.
