After Rajasthan Royals qualified for the IPPL 2024 Play Offs, the remaining two spots are open and 5 teams are in the reckoning. Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings, are the heavyweights who have already been knocked out.

However, the ranking as well as qualifying for the top 4 still remains open. Kolkatta Knight Riders, who are already in the Play Offs, have a high chance of retaining the top spot (75%) or might end up in the second spot (25%). There are six matches left in the league session and five teams are going to fight it out for the two open slots in the final four.

Kolkatta Knight Riders (KKR): will be at the top if they win their last game. Even if they lose, they will still retain top spot, provided that Rajasthan Royals no win BOTH their remaining matches.

Rajasthan Royals (RR): will be take the top spot if they win both their matches (against KKR and PBKS). If they lose even one, they will be at second spot and if they lose both, they might end with third spot or tie for third spot with points along with Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK): CSK are assured of qualifying for the remaining two spots, but could end up tying for third spot (which means as fourth spot qualification) or tying up for fourth spot with either of Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) or Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). If they tie for third spot, even Sunriser Hyderabad (SRH) may be in the fray. Net Run Rate will play the pivotal role.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): While they are placed on fourth spot now, they too are also not sure of qualifying. If they lose their remaining games (Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings), they may enter a tied for third place with DC, RCB, CSK and LSG or end up in a tie with DC and LSG for fourth spot. However, if they win even ONE game, they will qualify for the play offs.

Delhi Capitals (DC): They are currently placed fifth in the table. After the win on Tuesday against LSG, they are still far from sure shot qualification. They might end up in a five way tied for third spot or four way tie for fourth spot.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Might qualify if the match against CSK goes their way. However, the outcome of other teams will decide their fate.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG): Despite the loss against Delhi Capitals, LSG still have a 30% chance to make it in the top four. However, in case of a ties depending on the other matches, they have a 30% chance of qualifications.
