Two thrilling semi-finals weer played on October 24 at the Fourth National T-20 Cricket Championship for the Specially Abled, that is taking place in Udaipur. The tournament is jointly hosted by Narayan Seva Sansthan and the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI).
Every player was determined to secure victory, showcasing their talents to strengthen their respective teams. However, as is the nature of the game, one team had to lose and the other had to win. This outcome was evident in the first session of the Rajasthan vs Mumbai match, where both teams scored an equal 97 runs in the stipulated overs. Consequently, a super over was played, with Mumbai emerging as the victors and securing their spot in the final.
The second semi-final featured a clash between Karnataka and Maharashtra. Batting first, Karnataka set a formidable target of 224 runs. Despite Kunal Phanse's impressive century for Maharashtra, they fell short with 172 runs, allowing Karnataka to claim victory by a margin of 52 runs. Akash Patil of Mumbai and Shivashankara of Karnataka were adjudged Players of the Match.
Institute President Prashant Agarwal announced that the final match between Mumbai and Karnataka would take place on Friday, October 25 at 10am at the BN College Ground. He commended Rajasthan for their stellar performance in the competition, as their performance was at par with the finalists and their elimination in the Semis was a moot point.
DCCI Secretary Ravikant Chauhan provided statistics on the 66 matches played until the semi-finals, stating that a total of 16709 runs were scored in 132 innings. These innings featured 1368 fours, 384 sixes, 4 centuries, and 43 half-centuries, with bowlers claiming 964 wickets. Additionally, 299 catches, 35 stumpings, and 39 maiden overs were recorded in the fielding department.
