Futta to Begin Tomorrow, 10 Teams Registered

‘5-A Side Futta’ a three day Five-a-Side open Football Tournament will be starting tomorrow, 14th June at Hotel Shikar Badi from 7pm.

This tournament is an initiative of Shalom Enterprises, a travel and tourism company, with the aim of popularizing football sports in the city.

‘5-A Side Futta’ a three day Five-a-Side open Football Tournament will be starting tomorrow, 14th June at Hotel Shikar Badi from 7pm.

This tournament is an initiative of Shalom Enterprises, a travel and tourism company, with the aim of popularizing football sports in the city.

According to Jinu K Samuel of Shalom Enterprises, 10 teams have been selected for this tournament on a first cum first serve basis.

The teams selected are Chelsea FC and Mewar FC from City Palace, Hotel Rajdarshan, Rajputana FC of Field Club, Pacific Dental College, St. Pauls, Ravi Pawar XI, Cerebrata, Udaipur Strikers and Mayo Nostalgia.

Udaipur Strikers, a team of pass outs of The Study School and Mayo Nostalgia is of Mayo College Ajmer’s passouts, Udaipur Strikers a team by Football Enthusiasts and a team from Cerebrata, a Software Company.

Four matches will be played on the first day. The matches on the first day will be St. Pauls v/s Ravi Pawar XI, Udaipur Strikers v/s Pacific Dental College, Rajdarshan v/s Mewar FC, and Cerebrata v/s Mayo Nostalgia.

Jinu.K.Samuel, organizer of Futta and a football freak himself said that they got an overwhelming response and a lot of teams turned up for participating because of which they had to limit the participating teams.

Shakil Ahmed, affiliated with District Football Association is the Chief referee for the tournament. The other referees are Bhanwar Singh, Irshad Khan, Mahendra Singh and Devendra Singh.
