MLSU’s Ganga Thapa Wins Silver in Judo at Khelo University Games

Ganga Thapa wins the silver in the 48 kg Judo category at the 5th Khelo India University Games 2025, held in Udaipur

Udaipur, Nov 26, 2025 - Ganga Thapa, a student of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), has won a silver medal in the 5th Khelo India University Games 2025 Judo competition. This information was shared by Dr Bheemraj Patel, Secretary of the MLSU Sports Board.

He informed that Thapa won the silver medal in the 48 kg judo category of the games held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Indoor Hall in the MB Sports Complex, Udaipur.

MLSU Sports Board president Dr VC Garg congratulated Thapa, team manager Pratiti Vyas and coach Mohita Pancholi. He also announced that Thapa will be awarded a cash prize by the Board as a token of encouragement on National Sports Day (August 29, 2026).

Earlier, in the 2024–25 session, Thapa had delivered a strong performance in the All India Inter-University Judo (Women) Competition, securing a position among the top 8. Based on this achievement, she was selected to participate in the 5th Khelo India University Games 2025 Judo Competition.
