India Coach Faces Death Threat via Mail: Shocking Incident Unfolds

Udaipur, April 25, 2025: India cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has received death threats. An organization named 'ISIS Kashmir' has threatened to kill Gambhir, the current India coach and former BJP MP, in an email. Indian news agency ANI reported this on April 24.

After receiving the threat, Gambhir informed the Rajinder Nagar Police Station and DCP Central Delhi in the Indian capital, Delhi. The former Indian opener also requested that his complaint be registered as an FIR.

Gambhir Requests Protection for Himself and His Family

Gautam Gambhir has asked law enforcement agencies to take necessary steps to ensure the safety of himself and his family. Delhi Police responded quickly and said in a statement that an investigation has started. They also confirmed that Gambhir's security has been increased, although they did not share details of the security arrangements.

Two Threat Emails Sent in One Day

The first threat email was sent to Gambhir on Tuesday afternoon. Another similar message was sent in the evening. Both emails contained the same message: "I will kill you."

Not the First Time Gambhir Has Been Threatened

This is not the first time Gambhir has received a death threat. He had received a similar email in November 2021, when he was serving as a Member of Parliament.

On the same day Gambhir received the threat, a terrorist attack in Kashmir claimed the lives of 26 people. Gambhir posted on social media expressing his condolences, writing:
