IND vs PAK Match?

The big question is whether there will be an India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup or not. In the recent WCL 2025, the India Champions did not play against the Pakistan Champions. After this, many people in India demanded to boycott the IND vs PAK match in the Asia Cup. On social media, users are showing anger at the BCCI and also blaming the government for allowing India to play against Pakistan.

Sunil Gavaskar’s Opinion

Former cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar said that players should not be criticised. He explained that players are only following the rules of the BCCI. The BCCI has got the green signal from the Government of India. Talking to India Today, Gavaskar said, "If the government has taken a decision, then players cannot be blamed. Players are under contract with the BCCI and they will follow what the government says."

He also said, "Players are helpless in this. If the government says to play, then they will play. If the government says not to play, then the BCCI will act as per the order."
