Handicap Boy wins Gold in Special Olympic

Jeevan Jain proved that being a handicap can’t discourage one to achieve something. He won one Gold and two Bronze medals in the ‘Special Olympics’ held in Chennai.

The event was held from 17th to 22nd February 2012, where Jeevan Jain won Gold in the 100 meter race, and two Bronze, one each in Shot-put and the 400 Meter-Relay. There were 17 other contestants from Rajasthan and a total of 300 contestants from 28 different states.

Jeevan Jain is living under the care of ‘Prayas Sansthan’ and getting trained by Coach Durgashankar.

Muhammed Yaseen Pathan, Additional Collector (City) congratulated Jeevan Jain and wished him a bright future ahead.
