Udaipur, Sept 30, 2025: Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf is again in controversy. After taking the catch of Indian batsman Abhishek Sharma in the Asia Cup 2023 final, Rauf celebrated by acting like a plane crash. The video is now going viral on social media. Just a few days earlier, he was fined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the same kind of celebration in the Super 4 match against India. Because of this repeat act, it is almost sure that the ICC will take action against him again.
Will Haris Rauf face another ICC penalty?
In the Asia Cup 2023 final, while chasing a target of 147 runs, Haris Rauf caught Abhishek Sharma off Fahim Ashraf’s bowling in the second over. After the catch, Rauf repeated his aggressive gesture. Now it is believed that the ICC may give him another penalty.
Last Friday, the ICC fined Haris Rauf 30% of his match fee for the same behavior. His teammate Sahibzada Farhan only got a warning but no fine.
