Hitesh shines in Mewara Veterans Win, Takes Team to Finals

On the seventh and penultimate of the league matches at the Sahastra Bahu Cup-2012 Cricket Tournament, two matches were played, giving altogether different status to the winners.

Where Taak Veterans XI lost to Suhalka Veterans XI by 4 wickets, Taak still made it to the finals of the Veterans league on the basis of their earlier wins and run rate.  Suhalka scored 148 for 6 off 19.2 overs to beat Taak, but still could not make it to the finals.

On the other hand, Mewara Veterans XI beat Purbia Veterans XI in a low scoring match, thanks to a brilliant 4 overs sent down by Hitesh Patel, who took 2 scalps giving 11 runs off his spell.  Purbia could manage just 74 runs in their allotted 20 overs , which Mewara easily reached in 6.2 overs scoring at more than 10 an over and losing just 3 batsmen.

Mewara and Taak meet each other in the Veterans final which will take place on the last day of 2012.
