Holi Cup Open Chess Tournament was organized by Lions Club Udaipur Maharana and Chess in Lakecity. The inauguration took place at Central Academy Hiran Magri in the presence of chief guest Dr Uma Shankar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of MPUAT.
Vikas Sahu, secretary of Chess in Lakecity informed that other prominent guests present on the occasion ere Prem Singh Shaktawat, Dr Hema Chabra, Rajesh Sharma, Arvind Lathi, Ashok Jain, Manish Mogra and Vipin Lodha.
Participants exhibited their skills during the tournament; one of the most remarkable was the match between Dhruv Dak of Udaipur and Sonakshi Rathore of Jaipur which resulted in draw. Around 96 players are taking part in this tournament out of which 38 are Fide Rated.
Nilesh Kumawat was the judge on the first day of tournament.
