Many years after the famed Jaisamand Island Resort, took Jaisamand tourism to a different orbit, the second biggest man made lake in Asia is set to witness another makeover. This time, it will be the famed Houseboat culture, for which Kerala and Kashmir have been famous.

Assistant Director of Tourism Department, Sumita Saroj has said that Yash Amusement, the firm assigned to the task of developing water sport in Jaisamand, has already set up the jetty and activities are scheduled to beingby the end of this year.

Houseboats and Catamaran Boats will be the new elements at Jaisamand now. Visitors will have an option to either visit Jaisamand Island Resort or spend their stay in the middle of the lake on houseboats, enjoying the serene surroundings. Irshad Choudhary of Yash Amusement said that initially three house boats will be deployed in the lake, one with 5 rooms, one with 4 rooms and one dedicated to a Honeymoon suite. The catamaran boat will house a floating restaurant, making it a one of kind in the country. Lunch, dinner, parties, etc will be made more exciting with the launch of the catamaran boat in Jaisamand.
