Udaipur, Oct 30, 2025: The Indian Women's Cricket team has reached the finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2025 by beating Australia in the semi finals which was nothing short of an absolute classic that a semi final deserved.

"Just before entering the match I was told that I will be batting at number 3...I had amazing people around me who believed in me..." - Jemimah Rodrigues

Indian Innings

The Indian chase was nothing short of a dream run. Chasing the highest target of 338 set by a scintillating batting performance earlier in the game. After losing 2 wickets in the first 10 overs, Jemimah came in and took the team through to the chase, well supported by her captain Harmanpreet's 89, Deepti's 24 off 17, Richa's 26 of 16 balls and finally Amanjot with 15 off 8. Despite being almost sent off from the ground a few times while batting, Jemimah kept her cool throughout and came off the field with a win for India. Jemimah and her mates scripted an end to the 16 unbeaten match streak for Australia. Of the bowlers, Naliapureddy and Deepti took two wickets each, and Kranti, Amanjot and Radha taking 1 wicket each. Renuka Singh was the only bowler who went wicketless, but she had the best economy rate of 4.88 among the bowlers.

Australian Innings

Australia ripped through the Indian bowling, with Litchfield scoring the second hundred of the ODI World Cup semi finals. Laura of South Africa had scored 169 runs in the first semis against England. The Australians were all out (three run-outs) for 338 in 49.5 overs but the score seemed enough for the bowlers to take care of, which was not to be.
