Mumbai, Oct 09, 2025: The Indian ODI team will leave for Australia from Delhi on October 15 in two groups. The final travel plan will depend on ticket availability and other arrangements. India will play three ODIs and five T20 matches in Australia.
According to reports, one group will fly in the morning and the other in the evening, depending on the availability of business-class seats for the long flight. Former captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, along with vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, will join the Test team members in Delhi before departure.
Australia tour begins on October 19
The tour will start on October 19. The team will leave for Perth, where the first ODI will be played. If the ongoing domestic or international matches finish early, ODI players may get a short break to go home.
In a big decision, selectors have made Shubman Gill the new ODI captain, replacing Rohit Sharma. However, Rohit and Virat Kohli will still be part of the team. Head coach Gautam Gambhir has also invited all players to dinner at his home in Rajendra Nagar before the tour.
