Udaipur, Oct 04, 2025: The Indian team has been announced for the ODI and T20 series against Australia in October. The biggest change is in the ODI captaincy. The selectors have made Shubman Gill the new ODI captain, replacing Rohit Sharma, while Shreyas Iyer has been named vice-captain. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been kept in the ODI squad.

The selectors, led by Ajit Agarkar, have also announced the squad for the five-match T20 series against Australia in October and November. Dhruv Jurel from Uttar Pradesh has been chosen as the second wicketkeeper in the ODI team.

There are no big changes in the T20 squad. Suryakumar Yadav will continue as captain, while Shubman Gill will remain vice-captain. Sanju Samson has been included as the main wicketkeeper, and Jitesh Sharma has been added as the backup wicketkeeper.

Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Tilak Verma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Rinku Singh, and Washington Sundar.

Full Schedule for Australia Tour

India will play three ODIs and five T20 Internationals during the tour. The ODI series will be played from October 19 to 23, followed by the T20I series from October 29 to November 8.

ODI Series:

  • October 19 - First ODI - Perth
  • October 23 - Second ODI - Adelaide
  • October 25 - Third ODI - Sydney

T20I Series:

  • October 29 - First T20I - Canberra
  • October 31 - Second T20I - Melbourne
  • November 2 - Third T20I - Hobart
  • November 6 - Fourth T20I - Gold Coast
  • November 8 - Fifth T20I - Brisbane
