BCCI Reveals India Squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Check Complete Details

May 02, 2026: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed a 15-player squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, set to be held in England later this year. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, continuing her role as captain after guiding India to the ODI World Cup title. She will now look to help India win their first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup.

The squad includes a mix of experienced players and fresh talent. Bharti Fulmali and Nandini Sharma have been included, with Nandini receiving her first call-up to the national team. She impressed in the Women's Premier League 2026 while playing for Delhi Capitals, helping the team reach the final once again.

Experienced Core, New Faces and Key Absentees

Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading India in the tournament for the fifth time and has been part of every edition since the beginning. At 35, this could be her final T20 World Cup. The team has a strong core of players who were part of the 2025 ODI World Cup-winning squad, including Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma and Kranti Gaud.

The pace attack includes Renuka Singh Thakur and Arundhati Reddy, along with Kranti Gaud and Nandini Sharma. The spin department looks strong as well, with Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma providing multiple options.

Harleen Deol has once again not been selected, while Anushka Sharma, Uma Chetry and Kashvee Gautam have been dropped after the South Africa series. Amanjot Kaur is unavailable due to injury.
