India Squad Announcement | Shreyas Iyer Ruled Out of India Team for West Indies Test Series 2025

Udaipur, Sept 25, 2025: The Indian team for the Test series against West Indies next month has been announced. India will be hosting the Test series with the Caribbean outfit, with the first Test to be played at Ahmedabad from Oct 2nd and the second at Delhi on Oct 10th.
Ravindra Jadeja has been named the Vice Captaim of the team, while Shubman Gill be at the helm of the 15-man squad. Shreyas Iyer had earlier asked permission to be left out of the squad for the West Indies Test series. Karun Nair has been left out of the squad, while Padikkal, Jagadeesan get a chance to wear the Test cap. There is only a three-day gap between the final of the Asia Cup in Dubai on September 29 and the start of the first Test match at home from October 2.
