Bangladesh Sports Minister Aminul Haque has openly backed the proposal to host India. Speaking at a press conference in Dhaka on Tuesday, he expressed confidence that discussions are progressing positively.

"Cricket is highly respected in our country, and Bangladesh has established itself as an important nation in world cricket. We have already held discussions with the Indian Embassy, and everyone is now looking forward to this series," Aminul said.

The Sports Minister also highlighted cricket's role in strengthening relations between the people of both countries. According to him, a bilateral series would help rebuild trust and restore the friendly sporting ties that existed in the past.

He added that the tensions between India and Bangladesh were the result of isolated incidents and believes a successful cricket tour would help both nations move beyond those differences.

"If the Indian team visits Bangladesh, the atmosphere will improve further. Cricket has always brought people together, and this series can help normalise relations between the two neighbouring countries," he said.

While there has been no official confirmation from the BCCI regarding the proposed tour, the positive signals from Bangladesh indicate a strong desire to bring India back for bilateral cricket.

If the series receives the necessary approval from both cricket boards, it could mark an important step in reviving one of South Asia's biggest cricketing rivalries while also strengthening sporting and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
