Team India Creates History, Enters Elite List After 3rd T20I Win Over NZ
The Indian team delivered a brilliant performance in the third T20I of the ongoing five-match series against New Zealand. India won the match in just 10 overs.
India chased the target with ease and finished the match in just 10 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav were the stars of the run chase. Abhishek scored 68 not out from 20 balls, while Suryakumar made 57 not out from 26 balls. Their efforts helped India enter a special record list.
India’s win made this match the chase with the most balls remaining against a full-member nation while chasing a 150+ target. India had 60 balls left at the end of the match.
Earlier, the record was held by West Indies against South Africa in Kingston in 2024, where 37 balls were remaining. With this win, India now sit at the top of the list.

After the match, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav praised his team for the strong performance. He said this is the kind of cricket the team wants to play and was happy with how the players executed their plans.

Skipper lauds batters and Ravi Bishnoi
Suryakumar said the top two or three batters made his job as captain easy. He also praised Ravi Bishnoi for his clear bowling plans and strong awareness of his abilities. Bishnoi picked up two wickets in the match.
“This is the brand of cricket we want to play. We know how to bat from 20 for 3. The top two or three batters made my job easy. Bishnoi’s plans are clear. He knows his strong points. Good to have him in the side, good rest for Varun,” Suryakumar Yadav said after the match.
