January 29, 2026:  India lost the fourth T20I against New Zealand at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. Most of their batters failed while chasing 216 runs. With the top-order not performing, Shivam Dube tried to save the team, but India still lost by 50 runs.

India played one batter short, as Ishan Kishan was replaced by Arshdeep Singh due to a niggle. The Indian batters had the responsibility, but they could not perform like in the earlier matches. None of the top four batters scored more than 30. Abhishek Sharma got out for a golden duck, and Suryakumar Yadav scored just eight.

Sanju Samson, who had scored only 16 runs in three innings, got a good start and made 24 runs off 15 balls. Mitchell Santner dismissed him. Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube tried to help the team. Dube played well with the bat, but it was not enough to win the match.

He made 65 runs from 23 balls, hitting seven sixes and three fours, and reached his fifty in just 15 balls. However, he was dismissed in an unlucky run-out at the non-striker’s end when Harshit Rana’s hit rebounded off bowler Matt Henry’s hand.

After Dube’s wicket, India still needed 71 runs, but no other batter could score enough. India were all out for 165 in 18.4 overs.

New Zealand Batters Dominate
