March 07, 2026: The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Final will take place between the India national cricket team and the New Zealand national cricket team on Sunday, March 8. The match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The winning team will lift the trophy and become the world champions.
Before the match, fans will also enjoy a grand closing ceremony. The event will feature global music star Ricky Martin.
To help fans travel to the city, airlines have also announced special flights. Air India Express and Akasa Air said they will operate special flights to Ahmedabad for the final.
Air India Express said it will run additional flights from Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad to Ahmedabad. The airline said these flights were added because many fans are planning to travel to watch the big match. The airline also said it will keep watching the booking demand and may add more flights if needed.
Akasa Air will run special direct flights between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on March 8 and 9. The airline said the cabin will be decorated with the colours of the Indian flag using the lighting system of the Boeing Sky Interior. This will create a festive atmosphere for passengers travelling to watch the final.
Akasa Air also said passengers can check live match scores during the flight through its SkyScore service.

Special Trains Announced for Fans
Besides flights, another surprise has come from Indian Railways. Western Railway has announced special trains to help fans travel easily for the final. These trains will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad for the big match.
