India to Face Arch-Rivals Pakistan Ahead of T20 World Cup 2026

January 19, 2026: India-Pakistan matches have always been exciting, not just for fans but also for broadcasters. The two teams do not play bilateral series anymore, but they meet in the Asia Cup and the World Cup in T20I and ODI formats. They also play against each other in multi-nation tournaments at different levels of the sport. While everyone knows about the upcoming India-Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup on February 15, the two teams will also play in the Women's Rising Stars Asia Cup on the same day.

The timings of the two matches are very different. The women’s teams in the Rising Stars Asia Cup will play at 12:30 PM IST in Bangkok, Thailand. The senior men’s teams of India and Pakistan will play at 7 PM IST at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

When Will the Women's Rising Stars Asia Cup Start?

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced the schedule of the tournament today. It will start on February 13. India and Pakistan are again in the same group, as the ‘A’ teams will play in the tournament. A total of eight teams are participating, divided into two groups of four each.

Group A has India A, Pakistan A, UAE, and Nepal. Group B has Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, Malaysia, and Thailand.

All matches will be played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, Thailand. Two matches will be played each day. The first match will start at 8 AM IST, and the second match will start at 12:30 PM IST.

The top two teams from each group will move to the semi-finals, which will be on February 20, and the final will be on February 22.\
