Akash Deep’s Journey Inspires Young Cricketers, Says BCA President

Udaipur, Aug 14, 2025: Indian fast bowler Akash Deep met BCA President Rakesh Tiwari at the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) office in Patna on Wednesday. The BCA President praised Akash Deep for his excellent performance during the England tour.

In this meeting, the BCA President and Akash Deep talked about his cricket career, hard work, and recent performance in the England tour. The BCA President praised his dedication, patience, and constant improvement. He said that Akash Deep is a matter of pride not only for Bihar but for the whole country.

He added that Akash Deep’s career is an inspiration for young players who dream big even with limited resources. He said Akash Deep stayed focused on his goals in difficult times and has now made his place at the international level. He also said that the performance of players like Akash Deep at the international level is not only a guide for young cricketers but also opens new opportunities for Bihar cricket.

Notably, Akash Deep was named in the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy squad for India against England in 2025. Although he was not selected for the first Test, he played an important role in the second match in place of Jasprit Bumrah. He claimed his first 10-wicket haul, taking 4 wickets in the first innings and 6 in the second, and helped India win.
