The Senior Inter-District Open Veteran Badminton Championships started today on 14th December at Luv Kush Stadium, Udaipur.

The inaugural match of the four days tournament was played between senior inter district team of Udaipur and Dungarpur in which the host district was declared winner. In other matches, team Jaipur played against Bharatpur and won the match while Rajsamand took over Chittorgarh and Jodhpur defeated Bhilwara, Kota defeated Churu and Ajmer took over Nagor.

More than 100 players from 16 districts across Rajasthan have come to Udaipur to take part in this championship organized by Rajasthan Badminton Association.

The second round of the team matches were still going on at the time of writing of the news among the district players. The winner of these matches will play the semi-final of the inter-district team match today itself.

Qualifying round is also going on simultaneously among the participants in which 32 players are playing the match. By the end of the day 8 winners will be selected who will play the rest of the matches tomorrow.

The draw match is scheduled for tomorrow morning and the team events will be played in the evening.
