The inauguration ceremony of CPS T-20 Summer Cricket Cup was held at Central Public School (CPS) campus today at 6pm in the benign presence of the chief guest- Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

This inter-school cricket series of CPS T-20 would begin from 2^nd May 2011 and the finale would be on 8^th May 2011.

5 schools would be participating in the league which are: CPS (Central Public School), MMPS (Maharana Mewar Public School), St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School, Noble International & CPS junior. All matches would be held at Shikarbadi Ground. A white ball would be used first time in the school cricket series this time.

Special Guests included Alka Sharma (Director of CPS), Deepak Sharma (Joint Director) & Nitin Menariya (Secretary of Rajasthan Cricket Club).

Trophies were displayed by the royal prince of Mewar- Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar (President of Rajasthan Art Cricket Club). The inauguration was organized by Rajasthan Art Cricket Club & Associated with CPS, Rajputana resorts, Saraswati College of Nursing & Desert Pearl Enterprise pvt. Ltd.

Alka Sharma addressed the welcome speech and expressed gratitude to Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar; Alka Sharma said “It’s a matter of pleasure for us to organize such an encouraging event. We are proud of all our teams and wish them good luck.”

“The real cricket talent emerges from young blood and schools, so it’s a golden opportunity for Udaipur to materialize their dreams. Being the President of cricket association, I offer any kind of help to these budding cricket developments in Udaipur.” Prince Lakshraj Singh uttered. He also wished all teams a very best luck and asked all teams to keep the brotherhood alive throughout their life.

Kailash Meena- Co organizer encouraged all teams to reach the heights and explore the cricket with more concentration. He also informed that the first match at Shikarbadi ground will be at 7am on 2^nd may.

The first match would be MMPS vs CPS. Two matches would be played daily. The second match Noble International vs CPS juniors would be played from 3:30pm onwards.

Final 4 teams would be selected on the basis of points won. A Semi Final would be held among these 4 teams. 4 matches for every team would be compulsory. Man of the match would be selected everyday out of every played league. There would be more awards like Best bowler; Best Batsman & Man of the tournament would be awarded a Cricket kit.

“The prize for 2^nd runner up team would be Rs. 15,000 cash, Rs.18, 000 would be given to 1^st runner up & the winner team would be given Rs. 21,000” Kailash Meena explained.
