The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will be held in the United Arab Emirates. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has got down to making formal announcements and arrangements as confirmed by Brijesh Patel, the Chairman of the IPL governing council.

Touted as the biggest money spinner in the sport of cricket, the 2020 version of IPL is expected to be held between September 26 and November 7. This decision was formalized after the ICC announced the formal postponement of the T20 World Cup, which was scheduled to be held in Australia between October 18 to November 15 this year. This keeps the winter window open and IPL has jumped in.

Brijesh Patel said that the UAE will host the IPL in its most vanilla format with 60 games. Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed cricket stadium and the Dubai International Stadium will most likely host the tournament.
