The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is likely to run from March 22 to May 26, following the Women's Premier League (WPL) from February 22 to March 17. However, the final IPL schedule depends on the General Election dates, and the BCCI aims to host it in India. 

If approved, this timeline leaves only five days for the Indian team to prepare for the T20 World Cup starting on June 2 in the US and the Caribbean, with India's opening match against Ireland scheduled for June 5. The BCCI has received assurances from most cricket boards that players will be available until the IPL final.
