April 11, 2026: A short clip from the IPL 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru went viral on social media. In the video, a mobile phone was reportedly seen inside the Rajasthan Royals dugout, even though IPL rules do not allow its use during live matches. This quickly started a discussion online.

According to the viral clip, a Rajasthan Royals support staff member was allegedly seen using a mobile phone during the match. The dugout is a restricted area, and IPL rules clearly say that no personal electronic devices are allowed there during live games. Because of this, the moment quickly caught the attention of viewers.

The video spread fast on social media and led to many reactions. Some fans felt it could be a violation of IPL rules, while others said it might be taken out of context. However, the clip has not been officially verified yet, and it is still not clear when or why the phone was used. No official statement has been released by Rajasthan Royals or IPL authorities.

BCCI Rules and Possible Violation

The BCCI has strict rules for the Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA) in IPL 2026. According to these rules, mobile phones and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the team dugout during matches. All support staff must hand over their phones to the security officer when entering the stadium.

Only the team manager is allowed limited phone use, and that too only inside the dressing room, not in the dugout. These rules are made to stop any unfair communication during live matches and to keep the game fair and professional.

If any staff member breaks these rules, it can be treated as a violation. In such cases, the match referee or Anti-Corruption Unit may look into the matter. The team could face a warning or a fine depending on the seriousness of the issue.

RR Beat RCB in a High-Scoring Game

Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and chose to field first. Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored 201 runs on a good batting pitch. Rajat Patidar was the top scorer for RCB with 63 runs. For the Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Brijesh Sharma took two wickets each.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals chased the target comfortably and scored 202 for 4 in just 18 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played a brilliant knock of 78 runs from 26 balls, while Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 81 runs and finished the match.

With this win, Rajasthan Royals extended their winning streak to four matches and moved to the top of the IPL 2026 points table. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are now in third place after winning two of their last three matches.
