March 12, 2026: The countdown to the Indian Premier League 2026 has started. The Phase 1 schedule was released on March 11. Fans are now trying to book tickets for the first match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The opening match will be played on March 28.

Where to book IPL 2026 tickets online

Tickets for IPL 2026 will be sold on a few main online platforms. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet opened the general sale for all matches, but some platforms already have early access.

BookMyShow – This is the main ticket partner for teams like Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.

Zomato District – A new “IPL 2026” section is now live in the app with a “Coming Soon” tag.

Paytm Insider – This platform usually sells tickets for Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals. Ticket sales may start by mid-March.

Fans can also visit team websites. For example, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings often share direct ticket links for their home matches.

Pre-sale registration

Pre-sale registration is already open on BookMyShow. Fans can register early for matches of Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. This includes games at Wankhede Stadium and Narendra Modi Stadium.

However, registration does not guarantee a ticket. It only gives fans a chance to enter the early booking window. Tickets will still be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Expected IPL 2026 ticket prices

Ticket prices will depend on the stadium and the match. For the opening game at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, prices may be a little higher because the stadium has limited seats.

  • Budget seats: ₹450 to ₹950
  • Mid-range seats: ₹1,500 to ₹4,500
  • Premium seating: ₹6,000 to ₹12,000
  • Corporate boxes and VVIP hospitality: ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 or more

Fans are advised to register early and keep checking the ticket platforms so they do not miss the chance to watch IPL 2026 matches live in the stadium.
