The fifth season of Indian Premier League – IPL-T20 is all set to shake billions of hearts from today.

After the star studded grand opening ceremony last night of 3rd April with the glittering performances by the famed artists Katy Perry, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Salmaan Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Prabhu Deva. All nine teams participated in the oath taking ceremony at Chennai’s YMCA College Ground, Nandanam.

The cricket action will begin from today when IPL-4 champions Chennai Super Kings will be facing Mumbai Indians, led by the new captain Harbhajan Singh at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The magic of IPL will continue till 27^th May, 2012, with a total of 76 matches to be played between 9 teams.

Rajasthan Royals, led by Rahul Dravid will be battling Kings XI Punjab, being led by Adam Gilchrist on 6^th April, 2012 at Sawai Maan Singh Stadium, Jaipur.

The nine teams competing in the event include Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors India, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The prize money of a whooping Rs. 4.8 crore will be given to the winning team and a total of Rs.12 crore is on stake in this T-20 game format.
