Ishan Kishan Storms into the Top 10 in the latest ICC rankings 2026

India’s opener Ishan Kishan has surged into the top 10 in the latest ICC batter rankings. Several players have seen their positions change as the T20 World Cup progresses, and Kishan has gained the most following his match-winning performance against Pakistan.

February 18, 2026: India opener Ishan Kishan has entered the top 10 in the latest ICC rankings after his match-winning innings of 77 runs off 40 balls in the ongoing T20 World Cup. He has moved to the eighth spot with 732 rating points. Kishan is now the fourth Indian batter in the top 10 in T20Is, surpassing New Zealand’s Tim Seifert and Australia’s Travis Head.

Since the previous ICC ranking update, Kishan scored 61 runs against Namibia and 77 against Pakistan, which helped him gain many points in the rankings. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma remains at the top of the T20I batter rankings with 891 rating points, despite scoring multiple ducks in the tournament. He is 83 points ahead of England’s Phil Salt, who has struggled so far.

Other Indian batters in the top 10 include Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan dropped to fifth place after scoring a duck against India. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka moved up to third place after his brilliant century that helped knock Australia out of the T20 World Cup.

Saim Ayub Regains Top Spot Among All-Rounders

Pakistan all-rounder Saim Ayub has regained the top spot in ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, while India’s Hardik Pandya remains third. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza lost the top spot but is just six points behind Ayub.

Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans has jumped 10 places and is now fifth in the rankings with a career-best rating of 680 points. India’s Varun Chakravarthy continues to lead the bowling rankings. Other Indian bowlers include Axar Patel (14th), Jasprit Bumrah (15th), and Arshdeep Singh (16th). They are expected to climb higher in the next update, as India has a few more matches scheduled before the next ICC ranking release.
