In front of a packed stadium and with the ISL title race hanging in the balance, momentum shifted multiple times before late drama took centre stage. Substitute Edmund Lalrindika gave East Bengal the lead in the 85th minute, but Mohun Bagan responded quickly as Jason Cummings scored the equaliser in the 90th minute.

From the start, both teams played with high intensity. Mohun Bagan created early chances through Liston Colaco and Sahal Abdul Samad, while East Bengal responded quickly with PV Vishnu forcing an early save after a defensive error.
The game remained evenly balanced, with both goalkeepers making key saves. East Bengal’s Anton Sojberg hit the post in the first half, while Mohun Bagan’s Vishal Kaith denied several dangerous moves to keep the score level at halftime.
After the break, both sides continued to push forward but struggled to finish chances. The breakthrough finally came late when Miguel Figueira set up Edmund Lalrindika for a calm finish to put East Bengal ahead.
However, Mohun Bagan hit back almost immediately. A corner from Dimitrios Petratos found Jason Cummings, who flicked the ball home to level the score in the dying minutes.
