Jaipur Sports League concluded on Sunday amid a new resolve by the sponsor and the organizer to make it an annual event, aimed at improving the standard of sports in the state.

The 12-day sporting event, organized by the Jaipur sport League was sponsored by Wonder Cement. 150 Schools in Jaipur city participated in the completion with over 15000 students vying for the coveted prizes. The organizer announced cash awards totaling Rs. 8 Lakhs to winners of 20 disciplines.

Jaipur Sports League was a grand success with most participants and school administration tagging Jaipur Sports League as biggest sports event in which school student have ever participated and are really looking forward for Jaipur Sports League 2015.

Mr. Vivek Patni, Director, Wonder Cement and a sports enthusiast, in his inaugural address, spelt out the objective of the company of turning underachiever into super achiever through a proper platform. “If sport is used in the right manner, it can contribute significantly to promote fitness, improve academic outcome and even enhance social inclusiveness,” he said.

Mr. Rakesh Motwani, Deputy General Manager, Marketing, Wonder Cement, summed up the essence of the 12 – day sporting fiesta as culmination of a successful effort by the organizers and its sponsors.

The concluding speech was delivered by Mr. Sriram Singh Shekhawat, three- time Olympian and an Asiad. Mr. Abhishek Tiwari, Founder- JSL, proposed vote of thanks.
