The Rajasthan boxing team won a total of two gold, one silver and four bronze medals, earning third place overall in the boxing event
Udaipur, May 15, 2025 - Jigyasa Patel of Udaipur has won a silver medal in boxing at the Khelo India Youth Games held in Patna, Bihar.
According to Narpat Singh Chundawat, boxing coach from the Rajasthan State Sports Council, Jigyasa represented the Rajasthan team in the 65 kg weight category and secured the silver medal.
Under the guidance of coach Shalini Naruka from Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon, the Rajasthan boxing team won a total of two gold, one silver and four bronze medals, earning third place overall in the boxing event.
On this occasion, District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal, District Boxing Association Secretary Fateh Singh Rathore, president Ram Narayan Kothari, Sports In-Charge Lalit Singh Jhala, St Anthony’s coach Yash Singh Sisodia, Vandan Pawar and the entire staff congratulated Jigyasa on her achievement.
Jigyasa, a student of St Anthony’s Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, receives training from Sisodia and Pawar at the school.
The Khelo India Youth Games 2025 began on May 4, 2025, and will conclude today, May 15. This year the games were held across Bihar - in Patna, Rajgir, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Begusarai - along with some events in New Delhi. This was the seventh edition of the games.
