After completing a month long initial training of water sports Kayaking and Canoeing at swimming pool of BN College, the batch of 50 students is going to begin their advanced training at Fateh Sagar Lake from today.

The formal inauguration was done today evening by Raghuveer Singh Meena, M.P., at Fateh Sagar paal. All officials of Canoeing and Kayaking, including the coach Dev Kumar were present in the opening ceremony.

Dileep Singh Chouhan, Secretary of Kayaking and Canoeing Association Udaipur said that, “after completing the training we will select best contender to represent state in a National championship planned in the month of November this year.”

Chouhan also said that, students above 14 years of age will be trained in two batches of morning and evening respectively. “The morning batch will start their training from 7 to 10AM and evening batch will start from 5:30 to 7PM”, he clarified.

S. Raghunathan, President and B.S Khushwaha, General Secretary of Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association were also present on the occasion.

This is the first camp in Rajasthan to promote the water sports of Kayaking and Canoeing.
