Thrilling Finals at Khelo India UG Volleyball in Udaipur

Udaipur, December 2, 2025 - The beach volleyball semi-finals and finals at the Khelo India University Games in Udaipur on Monday (December 1) delivered high-energy action and plenty of excitement for sports fans. Players from all participating teams showcased exceptional skill and competed fiercely in their quest for medals.

Guests present among the audience included Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalaramani, Udaipur District Collector Namit Mehta, Sports Manager of Rajasthan State Sports Council Narendra Bhuria, Secretary General of Indian Volleyball Federation of India Ramanand Choudhary, Asian Volleyball Federation vice-president Ramavtar Jakhat, Excise Commissioner Shivprakash Nakate, Additional District Collector Dipendra Singh Rathore, Atul Singh of Sports Authority of India, State Bank Union president Rajesh Jain and Secretary of Mahakaleshwar Temple Trust Chandrashekhar Dadhich.

Organising Officer and Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) Commissioner Rahul Jain informed that in the semi-final matches held on Monday morning, Goa University defeated KPM University 2-1 in the Men's category, while SRM University defeated UOC University 2-0 to advance to the final. In the Women's category, Vels University defeated LNI University 2-0, and Karpagam University defeated SRM University 2-1 to advance to the final.

In the evening finals, the Women's category gold went to the Vels University, while Karpagam University had to settle for silver. In the Men's category, SRM Chennai University won the gold, while Goa University took the silver. In the bronze medal matches, KPM defeated UOC University 2-0 in the Men's category, and SRM University defeated LNI University 2-0 in the Women's category to finish third.

Meanwhile, kayaking and canoeing competitions were slated to begin on Fateh Sagar from Tuesday (December 2) at 8:00 am with the opening ceremony scheduled for 4:00 pm at the venue. All the preparations related to the event were completed under the direction of Dilip Singh Chauhan and Mahesh Pipalkar.
