Khelo India University Games: Judo Competitions Begin in Udaipur
112 players from 51 universities to compete in the event at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indoor Stadium of BN College, Udaipur
Udaipur, Nov 25, 2025 – Judo competitions under the Khelo India University Games 2025 have kicked off from 10:00 am today, Tuesday, at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indoor Stadium of BN College, Udaipur.
Khelo India’s Judo In-charge, Dr Himanshu Rajora informed that 112 players from 51 universities are participating in the judo competition. Participants include players who have won medals at international levels. The best athletes of the country will compete in each category. The matches will take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, followed immediately by medal ceremonies every day. All the matches will be broadcast live.
Judo Schedule:
- November 25: Men’s 60-66 kg and Women’s 48-52 kg weight categories
- November 26: Men’s 73-81 kg and Women’s 57-63 kg
- November 27: Men’s 90-100 kg and Women’s 70-78 kg
- November 28: Men’s 100+ kg and Women’s 79+ kg categories
Meanwhile, the final preparations for beach volleyball and kayaking-canoeing competitions, under the Khelo India University Games 2025, are also in full swing. District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal informed that a special sand court is being prepared at the Ganga Ghat for the beach volleyball competition scheduled from November 28 to December 1. A total of 64 top players from across the country will participate.
The kayaking-canoeing events will be held at Fateh Sagar from December 2 to 4 with 206 top athletes from across India.
